Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that also promotes healing. It is done through a “gentle touch” method that is very simple yet very powerful. A warm and soothing energy flows from the hands into the client, promoting relaxation and releasing tension. Effects may or may not be felt immediately. Once the session has begun, until the end of the session, the effects may last for hours or even days. Reiki Therapy is a method of offering relaxation by using Reiki energy. Reiki is a safe and non-intrusive treatment which can create an optimal state of self-healing. Often times when there is upset on a person’s emotional, mental and spiritual levels, physical symptoms will surface as a result. By working with the energy on all of these levels, healing can be done.
Reiki can work with other therapies and may help treat issues such as: pain relief, anxiety and depression, nausea reduction and discomforts, accelerated healing after surgery, immune system support, healing of acute and chronic conditions. Reiki promotes mind-body-spirit integration for better well-ness.
What to expect during your session: be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your treatment, you may feel light-headed or fall asleep during the session. Plan to be undisturbed for one hour in this quiet environment.
